A new downtown for an emerging urban community.

A small industrial town located between Oakland and Berkeley, Emeryville was evolving into a thriving residential community, but was lacking and urban center. Creating a downtown environment to support a significant mix of retail, entertainment and residential uses. Working to solve complex site conditions, the project demanded creative solutions to weave the project into its setting.  Our client Madison Marquette, this 20-acre development became the catalyst for surrounding future redevelopments.
